USING THE SHARED WORKSPACE

As was mentioned previously, there is a shared networked workspace set up for this class which is on the rhea server.   It is the area where you will turn in your work by uploading to an “Assignment Inbox”.

You access it by logging on to the Media Workspace drive with your login and password.  On the computers in the Mulberry computer lab, you just go to the "MEDIA" alias on the desktop, click on it and you will get a log in screen.  If you are on your personal computer or a computer elsewhere on campus, you should note that the actual server name for the Media Workspace is "rhea.cc.denison.edu"

- Double click on the "MEDIA" alias and log in.

- After logging in, you should each see a folder called “WISKEMANNM”.

- Inside that you will find a folder called “CINE310-01”.

- Inside that you will find three folders: Assignment Inbox, Resources, Work Area

For each production assignment, you will be required to turn in your work by placing files into your Assignment Inbox.

-- THIS MUST BE DONE BEFORE CLASS STARTS

If you do not turn in your files before class begins, that part of the assignment will be late and your grade will be affected.

When you upload you have to make sure you are turning in the correct file.   If you realize you’ve uploaded the wrong file, upload the correct one and rename it something that identifies it as the right one.

-- If you upload an ‘old’ or 'wrong' version of a file, that will be the one I grade, so you need to make sure you upload your final work and not something half completed.

When you turn in your projects, each file must follow the file naming format LastName_FirstName - Projectname No you do not include the quotes (" ").
